art and wonder.
i spent all day this past saturday at the chelsea art galleries with my friend collin, and need to convey how impressed i was with the work on display. if you're familiar with the world of chelsea art at all, you know it can be quite far from anything normal one would normally see at any other museum. not only was there a whole exhibition of andy warhol's early prints (sorry no pictures of those..) but also exhibits of ellsworth kelly and one of my personal favorites - frank stella. i thought i would share a few pictures so you can catch a glimpse of the same splendor i did this weekend.
the following prints i believe are white charcoal on black paper and probably one of the most stimulating things i've seen in a long time. the detail on these works are incredible and these photographs do not even come close. the beauty that they convey is unexplainable. i just love creation and the things unseen. the things that are so simply unnoticed or forgotten. i felt rather small after seeing these. and people think there isn't a God...
