five years later...

i just want to express many thoughts and prayers to those who lost loved ones 5 years ago today. I especially want to convey peace to my cousin, who lost his wife from the attacks on 9/11.

i must say, it is interesting to be in new york city on this day...almost like a privileged in a weird way. there is a different aroma in the air. a different feeling when i got off the subway thismorning in manhattan. i can't imagine how it would have been if i got off the subway 5 years ago on this day. please remember all those connected to 9/11. and never forget the wonderful privileged you have to live in america.

make the most of your week everyone. enjoy the day!

happy september.

these last few cool rainy days of september have reminded me how beautiful this time of year is. not just because of the pretty foliage and cool fresh air the rain brings, but also the anticipation of snow. i know it is only september (and probably a good 3 months before the snow falls,) but as most of you know...i do love the snow. however, i love seasons. and i love how seasons come and go. i honestly don't know if i could live in a place without all four seasons. i like change. i need change. and i love that seasons go and come again, which relates to alot of things in life. i love how each season has things to look forward to. for instance, in the fall, i love how fresh apples. i love walking through leaves and hot apple cider on cool nights. i also love being able to break out the hoodies and scarves. all this leads to winter, which allows for that first beautiful snow fall and needless i say - snowboarding. either way, this summer has been great. and i did many of those "summer things" like picnics in the park and plenty of days at the beach. speaking of which, i'm going to leave you with a few pictures i took at fire island a few weeks back. i hope everyone else had a great summer as well! enjoy the pictures and...happy fall!
